The Story

From the Desert Cotton collection, mn’s first study of UAE flora. This work began with watercolour, washed across the paper until it pooled dark at the edges. Over it, desert cotton (الآرا) was drawn by hand in pastel, from close study of the plant. The original mixed-media artwork was then carried onto cotton canvas.
